The Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) defeated the Philadelphia Eagles (1-1), 27-20, to remain unbeaten on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.
With the game tied at 13 points apiece midway through the fourth quarter, Chiefs’ quarterback Alex Smith found tight end Travis Kelce from 15 yards out for the go-ahead touchdown. Kelce hurtled a pair of defenders into the end zone for the score.
Kelce’s go-ahead touchdown was set up by Kansas City’s second takeaway of the afternoon.
Facing a third down deep in his own territory, Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz had his pass deflected by linebacker Justin Houston and intercepted by defensive tackle Chris Jones.
