The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly placed cornerback Ashton Lampkin on waivers on Wednesday, as they continue to make minor moves and check out fringe roster players early in training camp.
Lampkin first joined the Chiefs after the 2017 NFL Draft, when the former Oklahoma State defensive back earned a spot on the team as an undrafted free agent along with his former teammate Jordan Sterns. Both players had been longtime Cowboy teammates in the secondary and joining the Chiefs together was a dream for both.
Lampkin spent all of last season on the injured reserve list after a torn ACL ended his bid to try to make the team.
