Akeem Hunt’s tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs has officially come to a close, although we wouldn’t fault you if you already thought his time was over.
Hunt joined the Chiefs in 2017 as a member of the practice squad in early September after Spencer Ware was ruled out for the year. He joined the active roster a week later and remained there for the rest of the year. He played in 15 games, mostly on special teams as a returner, although he did finish the year with 8 carries for 23 total rushing yards and 4 catches for another 31 yards.
