The Kansas City Chiefs have tendered a qualifying offer to offensive lineman Andrew Wylie, according to Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.
As of press time, the type of tender was unknown, but an original round qualifying offer makes the most sense.
To explain all of this, Wylie is termed a restricted free agent, which means that a player has not yet accrued enough seasons to hit unrestricted free agency but he’s also without a contract. That’s because, in this instance, Wylie was an undrafted free agent, which came with a shorter contract that most slotted rookie deals (for those drafted).
