The Kansas City Chiefs have filled the vacant spot left by the waiving of wide receiver Elijah Marks by signing veteran defensive lineman Mike Purcell, who returns to the team after the team waived him in early May.
Reign Sports Mangement, his agency, initially announced the signing.
Purcell, 27, is a 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive lineman, who first entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers back in 2013.
Purcell played in 25 games for the 49ers from 2014-16, but was released by the team in May 2017.
