Kansas City Chiefs sign running back Mike Weber to practice squad

The Kansas City Chiefs have made an intriguing addition to the team’s practice squad with the signing of Mike Weber, the former Ohio State running back.

Weber was originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, but failed to obviously make enough of an impact to stick on the depth chart behind his former Ohio State teammate Zeke Elliott.

Weber is a 5’10, 211 lb. prospect who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at the NFL Combine. He also put up 22 reps on the bench press and put up a vertical jump of 33.
