Jah Reid was the expected roster casualty in some form after the Kansas City Chiefs acquired Cameron Erving via trade on Wednesday. Most fans were simply unsure whether or not the Chiefs would be able to carve any trade value out of the transaction first. The answer is apparently negative, as the Chiefs announced on Thursday that Reid had been released.
Reid first came to Kansas City in 2015 as a versatile lineman who can spell a starter for a stretch, and he’s proved valuable in relief at guard and tackle. Reid played in 22 games in Kansas City, starting 11 of them for the Chiefs, mostly in 2015.
