The Kansas City Chiefs have waived Julian Wilson, a defensive back who first joined the team in January after signing a reserves/future contract. The move comes one day after the Chiefs announced that they had re-signed cornerback De’Vante Bausby.
Wilson entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Baltimore Ravens after going unselected in the 2015 NFL Draft. Wilson broke his leg in training camp and spent his entire first season on injured reserve. The Ravens held on to Wilson until last September when they released him.
Wilson then caught on with the Minnesota Vikings on their practice squad, but that lasted only two weeks.
