The Kansas City Chiefs already have an extra pick in next year’s draft class thanks to the Marcus Peters trade, but the folks at Over the Cap are predicting they will also add another sixth-round choice in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The projections are out for this year’s compensatory picks and the Chiefs are expected to pick up a comp pick in the sixth thanks to the Tennessee Titans signing of former Chiefs defensive lineman Bennie Logan.
Recently installed draft rules in the last couple of years will allow teams like the Chiefs to trade compensatory picks, which gives an already aggressive general manager like Brett Veach a bit more firepower to work his way around the board and pick up the players he likes.
