On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs, in partnership with Prep-KC, hosted 25 students from the Alta Vista Charter School for a firsthand tour and lesson on the work beyond the football field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Prep-KC is a local non-profit that aims to improve the education of Kansas City’s urban students by providing resources to prepare all students for college and careers.
The handpicked 10th-grade students with interests in sports business rotated through the sport medicine, marketing and digital media departments within the Chiefs organization.
Students gained insight on the various departments within the Chiefs organization that run beyond what is seen on Sundays, hopefully helping to prepare them for their future professional journeys.
