Kansas City Chiefs hire coach Brendan Daly away from New England Patriots

The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly hired away Brendan Daly from the New England Patriots to be their new defensive line coach, the same role he’s held under Bill Belichick in Foxborough for the last four years.

Daly will now be coaching the Chiefs defensive line under a familiar face in new defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Daly was Spagnuolo’s defensive line coach in St. Louis when Spags was head coach of the Rams from 2009 to 2011.

Daly has plenty of experience in the role of defensive line coach considering he’s been coaching the same position for well over a decade.
