The Kansas City Chiefs announced the numbers their six draft picks will wear on Saturday afternoon, via their official Twitter account.
As you’ll notice, third-round defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi will wear No. 91, meaning the Chiefs have opted not to retire Tamba Hali’s number.
Over 12 seasons with the Chiefs from 2006-17, Hali compiled 588 tackles, 89.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed and two interceptions. Hali’s sack total of 89.5 is second in franchise history only to Derrick Thomas.
Given what Hali meant to the team both on and off the field for more than the decade, should the Chiefs have retired Hali’s number?
