The Kansas City Chiefs have pulled off their second trade in the last 24 hours to bolster their secondary before roster cuts are due. This time they’ve announced the acquisition of Jordan Lucas for an undisclosed draft pick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 7th round pick in 2020.
Lucas is a 25-year-old safety who was the Dolphins sixth round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Since then he’s played solely as a special teams player which makes the acquisition here a bit surprising given that the Chiefs have plenty of players who have already been praised for their special teams play who might not even be on the final roster.
