It’s hard to believe that in just a matter of days, for some maybe even hours, the list of unemployed football players will jump by several hundred as every franchise pares down their choices from 90 to 53. While several of those will end up on practice squads, the reality is that cut day will mean the end of the line for dozens of players on each of the league’s 32 teams.
For the Kansas City Chiefs there are a number of difficult decisions ahead of them. Saying hello to exciting new players means waving goodbye to others who are proven but might have a limited ceiling.
