The Kansas City Chiefs got a major scare on Sunday afternoon when outside linebacker Justin Houston went down, holding his knee.
Houston was accidentally whipped in the leg by free safety Ron Parker, forcing Houston’s knee to bend backward in an awkward and terrifying fashion. Houston did not return to the game and the fear was that he tore ligaments and would be out for the season. However, word leaked the following day that Houston only had a sprained PCL and would likely miss 1-4 weeks.
On Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid told reporters that the All-Pro and reigning sack champion has only a hyperextended knee.
