KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs weren’t required to make a fourth-quarter comeback in any of the first five games of their season-ending winning streak. They had led throughout the final period in all of them.
The Chiefs were finally required to make a comeback on Dec. 6 against the Raiders in Oakland. They trailed 20-14 to begin the fourth quarter before their defense changed the game dramatically.
The Chiefs intercepted Oakland quarterback Derek Carr three times in that final period and those were the key plays as they emerged with a 34-20 victory.
