KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jeremy Maclin had already validated the Kansas City Chiefs’ decisions to release Dwayne Bowe and sign Maclin to replace Bowe as their No. 1 wide receiver.
The Chiefs received further confirmation of those choices in Sunday’s 17-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium. On the first drive of the game Maclin did something Bowe didn’t do all of last season, which was catch a touchdown pass.
Maclin laid out in the end zone to catch an 11-yard touchdown pass from Alex Smith to give the Chiefs a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
