Catching up on some items from the weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs placed fullback J.D. Moore on injured reserve, per the NFL’s Friday transactions report.
Moore cleared waivers and is back on the Chiefs, but he does not count against the 90-man roster. The Chiefs have yet to disclose the details of his injury.
An undrafted free agent out of LSU, Moore faced an uphill battle making the Chiefs this season with seven-year veteran FB Anthony Sherman’s stronghold on the starting position since 2013.
The Chiefs brought Sherman back on a one-year, $2 million deal for 2018, but he is set to become an unrestricted free agent once again in 2019.
