This past offseason — long before training camp began — Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco had a transformative conversation with an old college teammate from Rutgers.
Everett Wormley was a sophomore wide receiver when Pacheco arrived on campus in 2018. He helped Pacheco learn the playbook. They quickly became friends — and later, roommates.
Pacheco — affectionately known as “Pop” in his home state of New Jersey — was all ears when the two talked about his 2024 outlook.
“Everybody knows that Pop can run the ball, obviously,” started Wormley.
