KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- General manager John Dorsey has stayed true to one basic philosophy in the three years that he’s run the draft for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have picked a player at a so-called premium position in the first round each time.
That doesn’t mean the Chiefs will again in the first round go with a left tackle, a pass-rushing outside linebacker or a cornerback as they’ve done the last three years with Eric Fisher, Dee Ford and Marcus Peters.
But that’s the way Dorsey leans each year.
