How do the Chiefs adjust for Jaylen Watson’s injury?

In an already turbulent season for the Chiefs regarding injuries, Kansas City got some more bad news on Monday. Starting cornerback Jaylen Watson suffered a fractured ankle in Sunday’s win vs. the San Francisco 49ers. It’s unclear whether he will return this season, but he’s expected to miss an extended time as he recovers.

That leads us to the question of the week:

Coming into the season, one of my biggest questions was what the Chiefs would do at cornerback after trading L’Jarius Sneed. Even with Trent McDuffie on the roster, one of the cornerbacks on the roster would have to step up into a full-time role, regardless of whether McDuffie played in the slot or the outside.
