We noted the high amount of turnover on the Kansas City Chiefs offensive side of the ball earlier so let's move to the defense and see what kind of turnover the Chiefs will be seeing.
The Chiefs biggest changes on defense are from two players returning from injury -- LB Derrick Johnson and DE Mike DeVito. They should help address the Chiefs run defense, which was arguably the biggest problem area on defense last year. That's a good start.
Here's a rough sketch of the Chiefs defensive changes, understanding that all starters aren't set yet:
DE: Allen Bailey
NT: Dontari Poe
DE: Mike DeVito (Jaye Howard)
OLB: Justin Houston
ILB: Derrick Johnson (Josh Mauga)
ILB: Ramik Wilson (James-Michael Johnson)
OLB: Tamba Hali
CB: Sean Smith
CB: Phillip Gaines
S: Ron Parker
S: Husain Abdullah
The depth will be much improved.
