A day after winning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for Week 8, rookie kicker Harrison Butker was recognized yet again on Thursday morning.
Butker was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October after connecting on a league-most 18 field goals since joining the Chiefs in Week 4 – the most made field goals in a single month by a rookie in NFL history.
He made at least two field goals in each of his five games last month and hit five field goals twice, becoming the first player in league history to connect on five or more field goals multiple times in his rookie season.
