Smith scrambled on the play, but as he ran out of bounds well short of the marker, Ravens defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan hit him late, extending the drive for the Chiefs. Three plays later, running back Charcandrick West ran for a 38-yard touchdown to give the Chiefs a 7-0 lead.
