On Friday, former Dallas Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar visited Arrowhead Stadium as the latest free agent to spend time with the Kansas City Chiefs. John Dorsey apparently liked what he saw, because he soon offered Escobar a one-year deal to sign with the team.
Escobar was a former second round pick from the 2013 NFL Draft by the Cowboys, but failed to ever become the pass-catching replacement for Jason Witten on the team’s offense. In fact, they recently extended Witten despite the fact he’s in his mid-thirties. Escobar’s inability to block kept him on the bench in Dallas.
