After the photo opportunity and as she was nearing the end of tabulating the meaning of the Chiefs’ $60,000 donation to the Guadalupe Centers, Christina Jasso, the family support program manager of the centers, started to tear up.
The Chiefs’ donation would supply more than 28,000 loaves of bread, 22,000 cartons of eggs and 3,000 cases of disposable diapers to the centers, which states as its mission “to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Latino community.”
After she finished, Jasso remembered she hadn’t included figures for medicine and supplies.
“This is the impact,” Jasso said.
