The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 30-14, and improved to 5-2 on the season Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tight end Travis Kelce led the team with seven receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown.
On the game’s opening drive, Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson sacked a sliding Alex Smith on a first-down play in Indianapolis territory. Smith left the game and would pass concussion protocol, but a cut on his ear temporarily kept him out of the game.
While Smith was out, Nick Foles went 6 of 9 for 85 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown pass to Kelce that made it 10-0 Chiefs in the second quarter.
