From Wesley Hamilton to "Westport Superman," a Variety of Guests Ran the Arrowhead 5K

Wesley Hamilton is a 28-year-old adaptive cross trainer and body builder from Kansas City who has completed multiple races throughout the city.

Hamilton’s race résumé is among the more impressive you will find, but in simply seeing him in person, you may wonder just how he does it.

After suffering from an incomplete spinal cord injury four years ago, Hamilton was paralyzed from the waist down.

This past Friday, together with 2,000 other racers, he crossed the Chiefs 5K at Arrowhead Stadium off his to-do list.

“It was very challenging for myself, and to be able to complete it and basically get the inspiration from everybody else and be able to inspire people, it was all around overwhelming,” Hamilton said.
