- The Chiefs have declared independence from subpar offensive line play. In the course of a season that ended badly, it becomes necessary to dissolve the contractual bands that connect a team with the bulk of their linemen and assume the powers of a new starting five. It started with adding a Patriot (Joe Thuney), then building a more perfect union up front to take this team in a new direction — a direction that includes more power and the ability to impose their own will on defenses.
