Jamaal Charles’ stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars lasted only two games, as Field Yates reported on Monday that the Jags had decided to terminate their relationship with the veteran running back.
The Jags signed Charles two weeks ago to help fill in the void created by Leonard Fournette’s ongoing injury concerns. Charles put up a total of 14 yards from scrimmage in very limited opportunities during those two games, rushing 6 times for 7 yards and catching 2 passes for another 7 receiving yards.
The Jaguars recently dealt for running back Carlos Hyde from the Cleveland Browns which gives them the bell cow they’re looking for in the wake of Fournette’s absence.
