I will be honest: I didn’t think the Alliance of American Football (AAF) would be a thing.
But through one week, it appears to be catching on, and one of the league’s top performers of the week happens to be a former Chiefs running back.
It’s Akeem Hunt, who spent 2017 with the Chiefs primarily as a kick returner but was eventually waived with an injury settlement that offseason.
Now, apparently healthy and in the AAF as a member of the Orlando Apollos, Hunt leads the league in rushing yards with 73 on 10 carries.
