Terrance Smith has been a fixture on the Kansas City Chiefs special teams units for the last three seasons as a surprise performer who continued to make the active roster despite facing considerable competition. Now he’ll take what he’s learned from his three years in K.C. to the Miami Dolphins, who announced a new deal with the linebacker on Sunday.
Smith entered the National Football League with the Chiefs in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State. Not only did he sign with the Chiefs but he earned a practice squad spot once the season began until November when he made the active roster.
