Former Kansas City Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos didn’t take long to find a new permanent home after regaining his health following a lingering groin injury. Several weeks after being released from the Chiefs injured reserve list, Santos has officially signed on to kick for the Chicago Bears for the foreseeable future.
Interestingly enough, Santos will replace another former Chiefs kicker in Connor Barth, who kicked for Kansas City for 10 games during his rookie season nearly a decade ago. Barth flubbed the final kick that would have tied the game on Sunday for the Bears against the Detroit Lions, a wide right attempt that wasn’t even close.
