The Jacksonville Jaguars have given a former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback a new home as they’ve rearranged several parts of their secondary on Saturday. Michael DiRocco has the news that the Jags have signed defensive backs Kenneth Acker and Bryce Canady and have released Dexter McDougle and Charlie Miller.
Acker entered the National Football League as the sixth round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in the 2014 NFL Draft after a strong career at Southern Methodist, where he made all-conference second team his final two seasons. He lasted two years in San Francisco, but was traded to Kansas City for future seventh round choice when John Dorsey wanted to bolster the Chiefs secondary late in training camp in 2016.
