Mike DeVito is retiring from playing football but he’s not retiring from football. It was announced that DeVito, the former Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets defensive lineman, will be calling games for the University of Maine football team.
“I couldn’t be more excited to reunite with my Maine Black Bear football family,” DeVito said in a statement. “The football program at Maine is on track to achieve greatness under the leadership of Karlton Creech, Jack Cosgrove and Coach Harasymiak and I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it.”
DeVito will join Dan Hannigan, who is the four-time Maine Sportscaster of the Year, to provide color commentary.
