While the Kansas City Chiefs turned in a 26-13 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in last Saturday’s preseason opener, the team’s starting offense looked efficient in their only drive. It ended with a Harrison Butker field goal, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed three of four passes and running back Isiah Pacheco pounded out 16 yards on three carries.
It also marked the debut of second-round rookie Kingsley Suamataia. After playing nearly every first-team left tackle snap during training camp, it was no surprise that got the nod as the starting left tackle.
