The fifth year option game has begun. The 2013 first round picks are entering their fourth year in the league but teams have to decide by May 2 whether to pick up the fifth year option for those first round picks. The Saints have become the first team to do so.
The Chiefs will have to make the same decision on Eric Fisher. He is under contract for the 2016 season but the Chiefs will decide by May 2 whether to exercise his fifth year option. Chiefs GM John Dorsey recently said that they have talked to Fisher's camp about that option and that they have talked about a contract extension too.
