Earlier this offseason, Junior Galette was a hot name around these parts.
Galette, a former Washington Redskins pass rusher, hit free agency and looked like a solid bet for teams without the money to offer top dollar. For a team like the Chiefs, who could use a proven product at the position alongside the plethora of hopefuls (e.g. developmental talent) and who were trying to shed salary commitments this offseason, Galette looked like a potential addition and Chiefs Twitter made plenty of overtures to connect the dots.
Fast forward past the first few weeks of free agency and it’s clear that many veterans are going to be forced to wait.
