Denver Broncos sign Jamaal Charles to one-year deal

When the Kansas City Chiefs released running back Jamaal Charles earlier this offseason, it was hard for fans to stomach, but many also realized it was necessary after Charles had only appeared in 8 games over the last two seasons. However, it will be even tougher to take now that the Denver Broncos have announced they’ve struck a deal with Charles to bring him to the division rivals.

Charles is the franchise record-holder for career rushing yards for the Chiefs, a franchise icon who is undoubtedly the team’s most popular player of his generation. Now that he’s signed with Denver, it will certainly bring about mixed emotions seeing Charles run in an opposing uniform in Arrowhead Stadium.
