Linebacker Dee Ford is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday after leaving the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday with a groin injury.
Andy Reid provided the media with an update on the team’s pass rusher, a former first round pick who has surprised his doubters with a strong early season showing for the Chiefs. While the defense overall has taken its lumps in each and every game, Ford has been one of the few bright spots on the defensive side of the ball for K.C.
Ford already put up one sack on the 49ers before his injuries, and his presence also freed up others to get after Jimmy Garoppolo, as Justin Houston had two sacks and Allen Bailey had one.
