De’Anthony Thomas suspended 1 game by NFL

On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs finally learned the extent of any punishment for wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas after he was arrested this offseason on suspicion of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession.

Thomas will be forced to sit out a single game, the first of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, per Nate Taylor of The Athletic. The suspension gives the Chiefs an extra roster spot to use for the first week before being forced to add Thomas and cut another player heading into their game against Oakland in Week 2.

Thomas was recently added this preseason after Marcus Kemp was lost for the season at wide receiver.
