DeAndre Hopkins arrives to Super Bowl LIX in late father's jacket

DeAndre Hopkins is set to play in the biggest game of his career on Sunday in Super Bowl LIX, and made sure to arrive in meaningful attire.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver wore a mink jacket his father passed on to him. Hopkins' father died in 1992, the same year the All-Pro receiver was born.

According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington, Hopkins told himself that he'd wear the mink coat either on his wedding day or the Super Bowl -- whichever one came first. Sunday in New Orleans marked the appropriate time to wear it.
