The Kansas City Chiefs have been a complete mess at safety for most of the 2018 regular season so far. Fortunately the pieces might be slowly coming back together for the Chiefs as the season nears the midseason point.
Daniel Sorensen was lost to a broken tibia in the preseason and it was known fairly quickly that he would miss at least a half season’s worth of work. For a player among the team’s 10 most expensive players and slated to start alongside Eric Berry, it was a pretty big loss.
From that point forward, the news at the position only got worse.
