Kansas City Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen, who suffered an injury during training camp, was placed on injured reserve to start the 2018 regular season. The injured reserve designation allows for two players to return during the season provided that certain timing conditions are met.
The Chiefs now have three weeks to determine whether or not Sorensen is in a position to return, meaning that they will evaluate his practice during that given span to see if he can work his way back into game shape. This does not, however, clear Sorensen to play this week, meaning he will not be available for the Week 8 matchup against the Broncos.
