KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The one-game-at-a-time approach has served the Kansas City Chiefs well during their four-game winning streak. So coach Andy Reid did the sensible thing in refusing to talk about the playoffs after Sunday’s win over the Chargers raised the Chiefs’ record to 5-5.
“You get the fish in the boat before you say you caught it," Reid said.
Credit to Reid, also, for a great analogy. But there’s no doubting how much getting back to .500 after a dismal start meant to the Chiefs. All you had to do was stand outside their locker room moments after Sunday’s game.
