Chiefs Kingdom helped raise a record donation of 294,051 meals for the 2017 Chiefs Kingdom Food Drive, surpassing last year’s number of 259,066 meals and setting the record for the largest food drive of its kind in the NFL.
Annually during the month of November, the Chiefs have made hunger relief a key focus of the organization’s outreach efforts. Through a partnership with Farmland, Kansas City Steak Company, Hy- Vee and Harvesters, the club was able to aid in food donation benefiting local families in need.
“With the resources and the support from all of our partners and the generosity from those within the Kansas City community, we are proud to announce that the Chiefs Kingdom Food Drive has broken another record this year,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said.
