KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Joining the Kansas City Chiefs could be a good thing for defensive lineman Chris Jones, their top draft pick. The Chiefs, who have veterans in Dontari Poe, Allen Bailey and Jaye Howard occupying their defensive line, don't have to rush Jones into their lineup.
But Kansas City has plenty of temptations for the 310-pound Jones, who was drafted early in the second round and is the Chiefs' top pick. They come in the form of the city's numerous barbecue joints and Jones indicated before his first rookie camp practice on Saturday he was eager to try as many as possible.
