Chris Johnson’s record has finally fallen. The new time for the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history was made this year in Indianapolis by Washington wide receiver John Ross. You can watch both the performance and see Johnson’s response below.
Ross, a 5’11, 190 pound junior receiver, caught 81 passes last year for 1,150 yards and an incredible 17 touchdowns. This eye-popping performance was expected from Ross, cementing him as a certain first rounder as he competes with players like Mike Williams to be the top wideout taken.
Chris Johnson has held the record for nearly ten years, when in 2008 he broke the record trying to raise his draft stock as a player from Eastern Carolina.
