A roar of cheers filled the Central Middle School auditorium Tuesday afternoon as Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley took the stage.
Conley wasn’t just there to get students excited for the school year. He wanted to leave behind an impactful message that he hoped would resonate with them through adulthood.
“There’s always people who tell you what you can’t do. There’s also people who try to put you in a box, but I’m here to tell you that you can become, and you can accomplish.”
Conley’s message emphasized the importance of education, pursing your dreams and finding support in those around you.
