Former Kansas City Chiefs exec and current Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard is back at the drawing board at the most inconvenient time. This deep into the offseason for a team that never made the playoffs, Ballard is still searching for his head coach after New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels decided to remain in his current post instead of taking over the new job.
McDaniels has been tagged as the favorite for some time in Indy, and his hiring was long considered a formality even though it could not announced as official until after the Patriots’ playoff run was over.
